Eyebrow Threading in North Lakes
Precise, clean, properly shaped brows in five to seven minutes — the fastest service on our menu, done by therapists who've shaped tens of thousands of them.
The fastest, most precise way to shape brows
Threading is a centuries-old technique that uses a single twisted cotton thread to remove hair at the follicle. No wax, no heat, no chemicals — just clean precision. We can isolate a single hair at a time, which means we can shape an arch exactly the way it should sit on your face rather than just clearing the strays.
It's also the fastest service we do. Most eyebrows are shaped in five to seven minutes. Drop in at the kiosk on your lunch break, walk out done. It's why threading is the most-booked service on our menu — and the one most clients come back to every three to four weeks like clockwork.

Why threading wins for brow shaping
Most beauty places offer both. We've done both for years. For brow shaping specifically, threading wins on three things that actually matter: precision, gentleness, and clean results on every skin type. Here's the honest comparison.
| Threading | Waxing | |
|---|---|---|
| Precision | One hair at a time — exact shape | Strips out an area — less control |
| Skin sensitivity | No heat, no skin pulling | Hot wax, some skin lifting |
| Suits sensitive skin | Yes — minimal redness | Often causes redness or reaction |
| Pregnancy-safe | Yes — no chemicals | Yes, but pricier products |
| Time | 5 to 7 minutes | 5 to 10 minutes |
| Price (brows) | $24 | $24 |
For body hair we recommend waxing — it covers larger areas faster. But for brows, where precision is everything, threading is the better tool. That's why every brow we shape at Iconic uses thread.
Who threading works best for
You'll love it if…
You want clean, defined brows in under 10 minutes. You have sensitive skin that reacts to wax. You're pregnant and want a chemical-free option. You've never had your brows properly shaped and want to start somewhere simple. You're a regular who books every three to four weeks.
It's not for you if…
You have an active cold sore, open cut or sunburn on the area. You've used Roaccutane or strong retinoids in the last week. You want hair removed from large body areas — waxing at our salon is a better fit. You want eyebrows reshaped after a bad threading elsewhere — we may need to wait for some regrowth first.
Not sure what shape will suit you? Drop in for a chat — we'll talk through what'll flatter your face shape and what to grow out before we touch anything.

Most brows are done in five to seven minutes. The easiest service to slot into a lunch break.
A lot of places "tidy up" brows. We shape them — looking at your face, your existing brow line, what grows where, what suits your features. That's the difference between leaving with neat brows and leaving with brows that actually frame your face.
What happens on the day
Quick consult
We look at your brow shape and ask what you usually do (or don't do) with them. Takes 30 seconds.
Mapping
We mark where your brow should start, peak and end based on your face proportions. The shape comes from the mapping, not the thread.
Threading
The actual threading takes 3 to 4 minutes. You'll feel a quick tug; most clients say it's far less painful than they expected.
Soothe & check
Cool serum to calm any redness, mirror check together, you decide if you want anything adjusted before you leave.
Looking after your brows after threading
Threading aftercare is minimal — there's no chemistry to set, no shape to protect. Just a few small things in the first 24 hours to keep your skin happy.
- Skip makeup on the brow area for a few hours if your skin is sensitive
- Avoid hot showers, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours
- Don't touch or rub the brow area while any redness settles
- Avoid direct sun and skip the tanning bed for 24 hours
- Hold off on retinol, AHAs and BHAs directly on the area for a day
- Brush brows daily with a clean spoolie to maintain the shape
- Rebook around the three- to four-week mark to keep the shape clean
Common questions
Does threading hurt?
Honestly? A bit. It's a quick pinch as each hair is removed, far less painful than waxing for most people, and over in three to four minutes. Almost every first-timer tells us afterwards that they thought it would be worse.
How often should I get my brows threaded?
Every three to four weeks for most people. Hair grows back in cycles, so the regrowth window varies a little person-to-person. Regulars often book a standing appointment so they don't have to think about it.
Is threading better than waxing for brows?
For brows specifically, yes. Threading isolates one hair at a time, which means we can shape your arch exactly rather than removing a whole strip of skin's worth of hair. It's also gentler on the skin around your eyes — no heat, no pulling.
Will threading thin my brows out permanently?
No. Threading removes hair at the follicle for that cycle, but the hair grows back. If anything, regular shaping helps your natural shape come back stronger because we're not over-removing.
Can I get threading if I'm pregnant?
Yes — threading uses no chemicals and no heat, so it's safe throughout pregnancy. It's actually one of the few brow services we'd recommend during pregnancy.
What if I don't like the shape?
Tell us before we start. We map out where the brow should sit before any thread touches your skin, so you can see the proposed shape first. Once threaded, hair grows back — but it's much easier to get the shape right the first time than to wait for regrowth.
Can men get threading?
Yes — we do brow shaping for men regularly. Men's brows usually keep more natural fullness with just stray hairs removed for a cleaner overall look. Just book the standard eyebrow threading service.
Will my skin be red after threading?
Sometimes, for an hour or two, especially the first time. We finish with a cooling serum to calm it down. If you're going somewhere straight after the appointment, just allow a little extra time for redness to settle.
