Cosmetic Tattoo at North Lakes
Long-wear semi-permanent makeup by certified artists at our salon near Big W. Soft, natural results that look like you on your best day — never harsh, never overdone.
Five tattoo treatments, soft natural results
Every new cosmetic tattoo booking includes a 6–8 week touch-up at no extra charge — because the first session is only half the work.
All new cosmetic tattoo treatments include a complimentary touch-up appointment 6–8 weeks after your first session. Standard practice for proper results — not an upsell.
Powder Brow
Soft, uniform powder-fill brows that wake up beautifully every day. A diffused, soft-makeup look — like brows you've just gently filled in. Suits most skin types and the most natural-looking of the brow tattoo techniques.
Ombre Brow
A graduated brow tattoo that fades from a darker tail to a lighter front — slightly more defined than powder brow. Suits clients who want a bolder, more sculpted look. Same long-wear technique, just a different finish.
Lip Blush
Subtle lip tint and definition — like a healed-in lipstick stain. Adds colour and shape without the bold-liner look. Heals down to a soft, natural finish over 4–6 weeks.
Classic Eyeliner
A precise tattooed liner along the upper lash line — thicker than lash enhancement, thinner than full liner. Skip the daily wing.
Lash Enhancement
A fine tattoo right at the lash line for subtle volume and definition — looks like you have thicker lashes, not eyeliner. The most natural-looking option.
Touch-Up & Refresh
Within 6–8 weeks: $250 (touch-up to perfect first session). After 8–12 months: $350 (refresh as colour begins to fade). For tattoos done elsewhere we'll quote on consultation. Tattoo chemical removal also available at $150.
Numbing cream is a legal requirement
In accordance with Queensland Health regulations, all cosmetic tattoo clients (unless treated by a registered doctor or nurse) must purchase and bring their own numbing cream to the appointment. We cannot supply it for you.
How to order yours
We've partnered with a trusted medical supplier where you can order a high-quality topical anaesthetic online. Please arrange your order well in advance of your appointment to avoid delays.

From booking to healed result
Cosmetic tattoo is a process, not a single appointment. Here's what to expect.
Consultation & design
We map the shape on your face, talk through colour and finish, and answer every question. No pressure.
First session
Numbing cream first, then the tattoo. Most clients describe it as scratchy rather than painful. Takes 1–3 hours depending on service.
Healing
Looks bold for 5–7 days, scabs lightly, then fades back 30–40%. Final colour settles by week 4–6. Patience is the hardest part.
Touch-up
Free 6–8 week appointment to perfect colour and shape. This is when the result really lands.
Before you book
How long does cosmetic tattoo last?
Powder/ombré brow and lip blush typically last 1–3 years before needing a refresh. Eyeliner and lash enhancement can last longer because the skin moves less. Lifestyle factors — sun exposure, skincare with acids, oily skin — affect how quickly the pigment fades.
Does it hurt?
Honest answer: it's uncomfortable, not painful. Topical numbing cream is applied before and during the session. Most clients describe it as scratchy or tingly. Lips are the most sensitive area, brows the least.
How long is the healing process?
Visible healing takes about 7–10 days (scabbing, peeling), with the colour settling to its final shade by 4–6 weeks. You can return to work the same day, but plan for swelling on lip tattoos (24–48 hours).
Why is the touch-up included?
Skin heals unevenly — some areas hold pigment, others don't. The 6–8 week touch-up is when we even everything out and perfect the shape. It's standard professional practice, not an upsell. The result you see at the touch-up is the result you keep.
Can I bring a reference photo?
Yes, please do. References help us understand the look you want. We'll then adapt to suit your face shape, skin tone and existing features. The goal is enhancement, not imitation.
Why do I need to bring my own numbing cream?
It's a Queensland Health requirement — cosmetic tattoo clinics in QLD cannot supply numbing cream unless the treatment is performed by a registered doctor or nurse. We work with a trusted medical supplier (linked above) so you can order it online and have it delivered to you or to the salon before your appointment.
Who shouldn't get cosmetic tattoo?
Avoid if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, on blood thinners, prone to keloid scarring, have active skin conditions on the area, or are within 6 months of certain skin treatments (retinol courses, deep peels). We'll confirm suitability at consultation.
Do I need to do anything before the appointment?
Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours before, stop blood thinners 48 hours before if your GP allows, and come with clean skin (no makeup on the area). Eat beforehand — sessions are long.
Can I have this done at the kiosk?
No — cosmetic tattoo only at the salon near Big W. The salon has the licensed treatment room and equipment required. The kiosk is brow and lash only.
