The first 24 hours
- Try not to touch the area while any redness settles
- Skip makeup on the area for a few hours
- Avoid hot showers, saunas and steam rooms
- Stay out of direct sun and off the tanning bed
- Hold off retinol, AHAs and BHAs on the area for a day

What does full face threading include?
Brows, upper lip, chin, sides and forehead. It takes about 30 minutes. The neck is not included, and you can add it for $15.
Does face threading hurt?
A bit. It feels like a quick pinch as the thread passes over the skin. The upper lip is usually the most sensitive spot, and it is over quickly. Most first-timers tell us it was easier than they expected.
How long does face threading last?
Most clients come back every three to four weeks. Hair grows in cycles, so the timing varies a little from person to person.
Will the hair grow back thicker or darker?
No. Threading removes the hair from the root. It grows back the same, and often a little finer over time with regular threading.
Will I get bumps or pimples after face threading?
Some redness for an hour or two is normal. Small bumps can happen if the skin is touched, sweaty or covered in makeup straight after. Our guide to breakouts after threading explains how to avoid them.
Is face threading okay for sensitive skin?
Threading uses no wax, no heat and no chemicals, only a cotton thread, so many clients with sensitive skin choose it. Tell us about any skin treatments or prescription creams you are using before we start.
