If you’ve been thinking about getting a lash lift in North Lakes, one of the first questions you’re probably asking is: how long does it actually last?
The short answer is 6 to 8 weeks. But how long your results last depends on a few key factors — and with the right aftercare, you can keep your lashes looking lifted and curled for the full 8 weeks.
At Iconic Brow N Lash and Iconic Brow Wax N Beauty, both located inside Westfield North Lakes, our certified lash technicians perform professional lash lifts using premium products for natural, long-lasting results.
What Is a Lash Lift?
A lash lift (also called a lash perm) is a semi-permanent treatment that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the base. Unlike eyelash extensions, there is nothing added to your lashes — it simply enhances what you already have.
- Treatment time: approximately 45 minutes
- Results last: 6-8 weeks
- Price at Iconic Brow N Lash: from $75 (Lash Lift) or $90 (Lash Lift + Tint)
What Factors Affect How Long a Lash Lift Lasts?
1. Your natural lash growth cycle – Everyone’s lashes grow at a different rate. Most clients find their lash lift lasts between 6 and 8 weeks before needing a top-up.
2. Aftercare in the first 24 hours – Avoid getting your lashes wet, rubbing your eyes, or applying mascara. The lifting solution needs time to fully set.
3. Oil-based products – Avoid oil-based cleansers, eye creams or makeup removers around your eyes. Oil breaks down the lift faster.
4. Sleeping habits – Sleeping face-down can cause your lashes to lose their shape. Sleeping on your back helps maintain the lift longer.
5. Mascara use – Use a water-based mascara rather than waterproof, as waterproof formulas require stronger removers that can affect the lift.
Week by Week: What a Lash Lift Looks Like as It Grows Out
A lash lift does not switch off one morning. It fades slowly as your natural lashes shed and new ones grow in. Here is what most clients notice.
- Weeks 1–2: The curl is at its strongest. If you added a tint, the colour is at its darkest too. Most people skip mascara altogether.
- Weeks 3–4: The curl is still holding. The tint is starting to fade, so your lashes can look a little softer even though the lift has not dropped.
- Weeks 5–6: New lashes are growing in straight beside the lifted ones, so the lash line looks a bit mixed. A coat of water-based mascara evens it out.
- Weeks 6–8: Most of the lifted lashes have been replaced by new growth. This is the time to rebook.
Why Did My Lash Lift Only Last 3 or 4 Weeks?
This is the most common worry we hear, and most of the time the lift has not actually failed. The usual causes are:
- The tint faded, not the lift. Lighter lashes look less lifted, even when the curl is still there. A lash tint on its own ($25) brings the definition back.
- Water or steam in the first 24 hours. A hot shower, a gym session or a swim before the lift has set can relax the curl early.
- Oil around the eyes. Oil-based cleansers and makeup removers soften the lift faster than anything else.
- Fast lash growth. Some people simply replace their lashes more quickly, so six weeks is their normal.
If something does not look right in the first 7 days, let us know at either location and we will take a look. The details are in our salon policies.
Lash Lift Aftercare Tips
- First 24 hours: No water, steam, sweat or makeup on lashes
- First 48 hours: Avoid swimming or saunas
- Ongoing: Use a lash serum to keep lashes healthy
- Avoid: Oil-based products near the eye area
- Brush: Gently brush lashes daily with a clean spoolie
- Book a top-up: Every 6-8 weeks
How Long Does a Lash Lift and Tint Last?
The lift lasts 6–8 weeks, but the tint fades sooner, usually after 3–4 weeks. A lash tint darkens the lashes so the lift shows up without mascara. Because the tint sits on the surface of the hair while the lift changes its shape, the colour washes out before the curl drops.
Most of our clients book a lash lift and tint together every 6–8 weeks and are happy to let the tint fade a little in between. If you have very fair lashes, a quick lash tint on its own around the 3-week mark keeps the definition going until your next lift.

Lash Lift vs Lash Lift and Tint at a Glance
| Service | Price | How long it lasts |

| Lash Lift + Tint | $90 | Lift 6–8 weeks, tint 3–4 weeks |
| Lash Tint Only | $25 | 3–4 weeks |
How Often Can You Get a Lash Lift?
Every 6 to 8 weeks. That lines up with your natural lash cycle, so by the time you rebook, most of the lashes we lifted last time have grown out.
We do not recommend lifting again sooner than 6 weeks, because lashes that are still lifted would be processed twice. If you want a refresh in between, a lash tint is the gentler top-up. A lash lift appointment takes about 45 minutes at either of our Westfield North Lakes locations.

Can I get a lash lift if my lashes are short? Yes – a lash lift works on most lash lengths. Our technicians will recommend the best curl option for your lash length.
How much does a lash lift cost in North Lakes? At Iconic Brow N Lash, a lash lift starts from $75. A lash lift with tint is $90.
Can I wear mascara after a lash lift? Yes, after the first 24 hours. Choose a water-based mascara rather than a waterproof one, because waterproof formulas need stronger removers that can shorten the lift.
